Frequently asked questions
When does my plan start?
Validity starts the first time you connect at your destination, not when you buy or install the eSIM. Some plans start at installation instead; they are clearly labeled, so install those after you arrive.
When should I install my eSIM?
Before you travel, while you still have Wi-Fi, then switch it on when you land. If your plan says "Starts at installation", install it when you arrive instead.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If you haven't installed the eSIM, you get a full refund until its install deadline. Once installed, it can't be refunded just because you changed your mind. If it doesn't work, contact support: if the service isn't as described and we can't fix it, we refund you in full or in part.
Will it work on my phone?
Your phone must support eSIM and be unlocked from its carrier. Check your phone's settings or ask your carrier.
Do I get a phone number?
No. lumsim plans are data only, with no phone number, calls or SMS. You can still use messaging and calling apps over data.
Can I buy a data add-on later?
Yes. On plans that support data add-ons, you can add data to the same eSIM.
